It's not too late!
Today is the last day to apply for 2015 JDRF Children's Congress!
The 2015 Children's Congress will take place July 13-15 in Washington D.C. Over 150 children living with type 1 diabetes will gather to meet face-to-face with some of the top
decision-makers in the U.S. government.
Children’s Congress T1D advocacy program that was inspired by a boy
from Massachusetts named Tommy Solo. One day, at age nine, he asked his
mother, “Why can’t kids go to Washington and tell their Representatives
about what it is like to have type 1 diabetes and let them know that we
want scientists to find a cure?” His mom and other JDRF volunteers
agreed and, in 1999, the first-ever JDRF Children’s Congress took place
in Washington, D.C. (taken from the CC website)
This is a once in a lifetime experience.
Avery was selected as a delegate for the 2013 Children's Congress. And trust me - if we could do it again, we would in a heartbeat. It was an incredible and amazing opportunity that neither of us will ever forget!
She was asked to make a short video about her experience at Children's Congress. Here's what she had to say...

It's not too late! The deadline is tonight.
I'll let you in on a secret... We filled out our application the night before. She wanted to try for it badly... J and I were worried she might be a little young. But she wasn't. She was right! (Don't tell her I said that!) And I'm so glad we did it!
Seriously - go for it! Click HERE to get all the info and apply now.
Don't pass up this opportunity!
