It's almost been a week. I'm missing you, bloggy world!
You keep me sane*. For reals.
(* as sane as I ever am...)
You know how it goes. LIFE just gets in the way of my best laid blogging plans! This past week we had something going on every single night. At least ONE thing. Sometimes more.
Which means I have a backlog of blogs all fighting to get out...
But today I'm going with something a little lighter than what's been on my heart. Today I'm going to do the 5QF!
1. What is the last thing you bought for yourself?
Aren't they sweet? Got them at Payless! SCORE!
2. What is your favorite meal on a cold winter day?
Chili. I love chili when its cold out. I have this great recipe that my parents make. It's sooooo good! It's not too hot, not too spicy.... just perfect if you ask me! And super easy to make! Hmmm... think I'm going to have to send J to the store to get the ingredients. Seeing as it's 15 degrees outside, some warm chili sounds perfect!! Want the recipe? Leave me a comment...
3. Have you started looking at swimsuits for this year, and do you buy a new one every year?
Oh, HELL NO! Are you kidding me?!? I'm hoping that by swimsuit time I'm going to look a little more suit worthy than I do now. Right now I'm looking Mu mu worthy. Oh, I see those cute little suits at Target that are in your face the minute you walk in the store. But I pretend that I DON'T see them. After all, being my child's pancreas provides me with more than my share of feelings of inadequacy. I don't need a swim suit to add to it.
4. If you could be any candy, what would you be and why?
Hmmmm.... I don't know. I don't want to be a candy. Candy is medicine here. Quite frankly, it's lost all it's sparkle. Nooo.... I want to be a CUPCAKE! I loooovveeee cupcakes! Everyone loves cupckaes! And they get in on all the good celebrations! Plus they are small and cute (see above question) so I'm IN. Cupcake it is!
5. What are you most passionate about?
Uh.... You really need to ask? I'm most passionate about my daughter. And raising awareness for diabetes. And finding a CURE! The best ways I have found to do this, for me, are to BLOG and to get involved with JDRF. We just attended a Promise to Remember Me meeting with one or our local Representatives. More on that later in the week!
Now it's your turn! So go on and have a fantastic MLK weekend!
